Accessibility Statement

Our commitment
Wacky Crab Shack wants everyone to be able to use this website, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, or other assistive technology. We build this site toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA.
What we've done
- Added a skip-to-content link so keyboard users can jump past the navigation.
- Made sure interactive elements show a visible focus outline when you tab through the page.
- Labeled every form field clearly.
- Built our mobile menu to close on Escape and return focus to where you started.
- Reduced motion for visitors who ask their device to limit animation.
- Added alt text to our images.
Known limitations
No website is perfect, and we're not going to claim this one is. Here's what we know still needs work:
- A few decorative colors, like our open and closed status dot and some thin dividers, don't yet meet our contrast target. The words next to them always say the same thing out loud.
- A few Spanish dish names in our menu descriptions, like "aguachile" or "camarones a la diabla," aren't individually tagged for screen readers yet.
- Text over some of our hero photos may not always meet our contrast target, depending on the photo.
